Silvey Dominguez, a Washington State assistant basketball coach, was arrested for alleged negligent driving at 9:29 p.m. Friday on 100 S. Grand Ave., according to the Pullman Police Department log.
Pullman officer Jake Opgenorth reported that Dominguez struck a parked car, causing the parked car to be pushed into a light pole. Opgenorth reported Dominguez said he blacked out and ended up where he was. Although first arrested for driving under the influence, testing at the police station found a negligible blood alcohol level of 0.004, Opgennorth said.
Dominguez was hired April 4, 2014, by new WSU head coach Ernie Kent. The two worked together at Saint Mary's from 1991-1996, and before working at WSU, Dominguez was an assistant coach at Air Force.
