Former Moscow Rep. Cindy Agidius has accepted a job as communications director for the House Republican Caucus, keeping herself in the game for a likely rematch with Rep. Paulette Jordan in 2016, the Lewiston Tribune reported.

"I was offered the position. It sounded like a good way to keep up with what's going on here," Agidius said. "There are a number of things I still want to accomplish."

Agidius defeated Jordan by 123 votes in 2012, in the closest legislative race in the state, but expected to run again, the Tribune reported. She lost the rematch last year, in part because constituents were upset she missed the vote on the controversial "Guns on Campus" bill.
