PULLMAN Autopsy confirms seizure to blame for WSU professor's death

Posted: Wednesday, February 26, 2014 12:00 am | Updated: 8:21 am, Wed Feb 26, 2014.

Results from an autopsy confirm a seizure was ultimately to blame for the death of Washington State University professor Scott Stratton.

Stratton, who was found dead in a pond at Sunnyside Park one week ago, was known to have a history of seizures. A family member confirmed Stratton had been off his medication for about 10 days at the time of his death, primarily due to a side effect of the medication that was causing a rash, Whitman County Coroner Pete Martin said.
