Pullman puts pot on pause

Planning to look at zoning and land-use compatibility during six-month moratorium

The city of Pullman has scheduled a six-month break from having to implement the state’s complex new recreational marijuana laws.

The city council voted Tuesday evening to approve a moratorium on the application and sale of marijuana-related business licenses to give the city time to get better acquainted with the state and federal guidelines surrounding Initiative 502.
