WSU student airlifted to Spokane after alleged fall

Washington State University senior Ben Kappler is at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane after being found at the bottom of the stairs behind the library on the WSU campus.

Kappler was found by a stranger around 2 a.m. Sunday and taken to Pullman Regional Hospital for serious injuries. He was airlifted to Spokane, where he is currently in the intensive care unit. 

Police are unsure whether alcohol was involved.
