OBITUARY Linda Ann Speer-Rouse, 52, of rural Potlatch

Funeral services for Linda Ann Speer-Rouse, 52, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at the Freeze Church north of Potlatch, Idaho, with Pastor Lloyd Knerr officiating. Linda passed away at her cabin north of Potlatch on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013.

Linda was born April 13, 1961, in Cottage Grove, Ore., to Walter Houston and Sandy Lee (Ricker) Speer. She attended the Yoncalla, Ore., schools and graduated from the Yoncalla High School. Linda later attended a business college in Carmel, Calif.

Linda worked for the Tri-County Dispatch Center in Oregon and was the 911 Center supervisor for several years. Linda had worked as a deputy sheriff for Wheeler County in Oregon for eight years and was active with the area Search and Rescue.

Linda married David P. Rouse on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2011, in Potlatch. The couple built a cabin together north of Potlatch.

Survivors include her husband, David Rouse, of Potlatch; one brother, Steve Speer, and his wife, Sandy Kay Speer, of Service Creek, Ore.; and one nephew, Corey Wilson, of Sacramento, Calif.

Memorials may be given to the Freeze Church, c/o Lloyd Knerr, 1031 Clanton Road, Harvard, ID 83834.

Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse, Wash., is handling the arrangements.
