The Idaho women forced 10 turnovers in a tenacious second-half effort and beat Denver 70-64 Saturday at the Cowan Spectrum.
"It's a different type of game than we've been involved in (for) a while - it was a real grinder to me," Vandal coach Jon Newlee said. "But it's nice to win a game when you're grinding. We haven't won a lot of those. You've got to push back and keep battling, and I'm proud of our players because I think we really did that tonight."
