Washington State coach Mike Leach made it clear in a Monday news conference that fans can expect a similar game plan this week. The Cougars are hoping for a different outcome in Salt Lake City, but as far as their style of play, Leach hopes the team picks up where they left off in Palo Alto, Calif.
That means an extremely unbalanced attack for the offense. Leach abandoned the ground game against Stanford, with just six rushing attempts by WSU's tandem of Marcus Mason and Carl Winston. But the decision was made with good reason, as quarterback Jeff Tuel picked apart the Stanford defense.
