Pullman Police have received several reports over the past two days about foreign men with heavy accents who have been approaching homes and asking residents if they know where to find homes with children.
"It's caused some concern, unsurprisingly," Cmdr. Chris Tennant said. "But they are really just salesmen. They've got the proper permits, and they aren't doing anything illegal - just perhaps taking an approach that may be a bit alarming."
Each of the two Estonian salesmen lists a business address in Lewiston.
They received their itinerant vendor's permits from the city last month and will be in the area until the end of July selling educational books, software and website support.
