Detectives with the Quad Cities Drug Task Force executed a search warrant and seized a half-pound of cocaine, 60 Xanax pills and $700 in a locked safe from a home on Pullman’s College Hill Thursday.
During the search, detectives arrested Francisco Torres Jr., 23, at the Monroe Street residence according to a news release from Whitman County Sheriff Brett Myers.
Torres was arrested and booked into the Whitman County Jail for suspicion of possessing two grams of cocaine, scales, packaging material and $190.
The locked safe seized by police, allegedly belonged to Torres’ roommate and was located in another bedroom.
The roommate was not present during the search.
According to the release, police believe Torres Jr. received his cocaine from the roommate.
The investigation into the roommate is ongoing.
