Washington State University Food Systems, with support from the University of Idaho Extension, will play host to the Inland Northwest Artisan Grains Conference July 11-13 in Pullman and Moscow.
Farmers, bakers, brewers, grain brokers, investors and any other interested parties are asked to register for the conference by Friday at a reduced price of $65. After Friday, registration will be $90.
Main conference sessions will be held July 12 at the University of Idaho Commons, 875 Perimeter Drive, Moscow. Topics are sustainable grain production, varieties, whole and novel grains for baking, cultural significance of grains and marketing considerations. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. and sessions end at 4:30 p.m., with a tasting session from 5-7 p.m. at the 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow.
Additional dinners, baking sessions and field trips during the conference can be registered for individually, with prices ranging from $20 to $70 each.
Tickets to the conference welcome dinner July 11 at Paradise Creek Brewery, 245 SE Paradise St., Pullman, are $45.
