The Idaho Commission on the Arts has awarded $544,008 in grants to 76 organizations and schools throughout the state for the fiscal year 2020, and six of them are based in Moscow.
The Festival Dance and Performing Arts Association received two awards, one for $7,597 to support arts education and another for $5,053 for public programs. The Prichard Art Gallery at the University of Idaho received $1,249, the city of Moscow Arts Department received $5,402, the UI Auditorium Chamber Music Series was awarded $3,611, Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre received $5,133 and the Washington Idaho Symphony Association received $3,482.
The grants are meant to support the appreciation of arts in Idaho. Each group that receives a grant will match its awards with locally generated funding, according to an ICA news release.
