The Latah County Library District will host its Library 5-7-5 Haiku Challenge during the month of April. Community members can submit original library-themed haiku.
Haiku is an unrhymed poem of 17 syllables, arranged in three lines with five syllables, then seven syllables and again five syllables.
The Library District will post selected entries on its social media and website beginning April 17.
Poems will not be judged, but submissions will be entered in a drawing for one of two $30 BookPeople of Moscow gift certificates April 30.
Entries may be submitted at the circulation desk to any of the LCLD branches, or at www.latahlibrary.org/.
Poems containing offensive language or content will be discarded. For additional information, visit the LCLD website or contact Chris Sokol at (208) 882-3925, ext. 114.
