The University of Idaho has selected four students to receive $20,000 each in scholarship funding through the Chobani Scholars program.

Raquel Dimond and Kaitlin Mirkin, of Jerome, Idaho; Alejandro Jimenez, of Wilder, Idaho; and Avelardo Vargas, of Rupert, Idaho, were selected.

The students will pursue degrees in the UI College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and each have ties to the dairy farming industry, which they intend to pursue careers in.

The scholarship program was established in 2018 to benefit the next generation of dairy farming professionals, according to a UI news release.
