A Pullman firefigher-medic was quarantined Wednesday after transporting a patient to Pullman Regional Hospital who may have the COVID-19 virus.

In a news release, Police Chief Gary Jenkins said the firefighter was put under quarantine “out of an abundance of caution,” pending test results from the original patient.

“City staff remain in regular contact with the Whitman County Department of Public Health for guidance,” said Jenkins, who also serves as the city's emergency manager.
