The University of Idaho soccer program revealed its fall slate Thursday. The Vandals play 19 regular-season matches, and open their season at home against Boise State on Aug. 23, which will be first BSU-UI match since the program’s attendance record was broken at 4,171 Kibbie Dome spectators two years ago.

UI’s 10 home matches and all of its Big Sky Conference bouts will be streamed live on the PlutoTV app and at UI gets the University of Fraser Valley in a home exhibition on Aug. 11.

On Sept. 1, Mississippi State will travel to Moscow for UI’s first-ever match against an SEC foe.

UI went 9-7-3 under first-year coach Jeremy Clevenger last season and finished second in the league.

UI kickoff time set

Kickoff time for the Idaho Vandals’ football season opener at Penn State on Aug. 31 will be 12:30 p.m. PDT, it was announced Thursday.

The game will be televised by Big Ten Network.


Cougars earn academic nods

Washington State baseball player A.J. Block was named first-team Pac-12 all-academic while teammates Hayden Rosenkrantz and Jack Smith were second team. Getting honorable mention were Danny Sinatro and Rob Teel.
