The Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity at Washington State University has been placed on temporary suspension, according to a news release from the WSU Interfraternity Council.
The IFC unanimously approved the decision Tuesday following a complaint received against the chapter last week. A reason for the complaint was not outlined in the press release. The Daily News is awaiting comment from the IFC.
After being notified of the complaint, the WSU Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life notified the WSU IFC Executive Council. WSU and the AKL headquarters placed a temporary suspension on the WSU chapter. The IFC later did the same.
The suspension is in place until the university can hold a hearing to determine responsibility for the charges.
