Hollis and Helen Jamison marked their 60th anniversary on July 12, 2018. The couple met while attending Washington State College (WSC), and was married in Seattle on July 12, 1958.
Helen and Hollis have lived and farmed in the Garfield area their entire married life, raising wheat, barley, lentils and peas. The couple has been active in a variety of community groups including American Legion, OES, Grange, Daughters of the Nile, Whitman County Shrine, Masonic Lodge and the Garfield Christian Church Fellowship.
They enjoy traveling, gardening and family gatherings at the lake. Hollis and Helen have two children, Russell (Sandy) Jamison of Garfield and Holly (Tom) Thomas of Spokane Valley. They have four grandchildren: Conrad Thomas, Jesse Thomas, Heidi Jamison and Mitch Jamison.
The couple will celebrate their anniversary later this month with a gathering of friends and family.
