Brief: Co-op sponsoring community bike ride

The Mountain View Community Bike Ride is scheduled at 5 p.m. Saturday, starting at the Moscow Food Co-op.

Bicycle safety checks will be conducted at the Co-op at 3:30 p.m. The ride is co-sponsored by the Palouse Bicycle Collective and the Bicycle Benefits program.

Registration is optional, but the $5 registration fee includes a Bicycle Benefits program sticker and discounts for the Co-op, BookPeople of Moscow, One World Cafe, Slice and Biscuit, Kula Yoga and Tea and other area businesses. The first 50 people who register will also get a surprise.
