A charge of counterfeiting, involving sales of Washington State University shirts without a license to use the Cougar trademark, was filed Feb. 3 in Whitman County Superior Court against Jeffrey D. Wigen, 35, Rockford.
The WSU Police Department investigation report said 742 shirts and 17 hooded sweatshirts valued at $15,520 were confiscated from Wigen at an RV parking lot on campus on the day of the Oct. 15 football game, the Whitman County Gazette has reported.
Wigen has been summoned to appear in court Feb. 24 for a first appearance.
