One man is dead and a Moscow man was injured following a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 195, two miles south of here.
Noah S. McCarley, 20, of Lewiston, was driving a 2003 Subaru Legacy southbound on Highway 195 about 2:50 p.m. Friday when he reportedly lost control on the ice and slid sideways across the center lane, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.
Brian L. Peterson, 50, of Moscow, was driving a 2015 Ford Expedition northbound on Highway 195 and collided with the Subaru. McCarley died from injuries received at the scene, and Peterson was taken by ambulance to Pullman Regional Hospital, according to the news release.
On Friday night, a hospital official said they had no record of Peterson being admitted, The Lewiston Tribune reported.
