Change of plea hearing set for Capone

A change of plea hearing has been set for Charles A. Capone, a Moscow man charged with two federal firearms violations.

Capone is a person of interest in the disappearance of his estranged wife, Rachel Anderson of Clarkston.

According to U.S. District Court docket information, Capone's jury trial slated for Tuesday has been amended to a change of plea hearing 1:30 p.m. Tuesday before Judge Edward J. Lodge.

The hearing will take place in U.S. District Court in Coeur d'Alene.

Capone, a convicted felon, faces two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

He previously pleaded innocent to the charges.

He was arrested for violating federal firearms laws after he was allegedly in the possession of a Glock Model 22 .40-caliber pistol in mid-February.

The arrest was not made in connection with Anderson's missing persons case.

Anderson, who is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, was last seen in Moscow in mid-April.
