The Moscow-Pullman Daily News will permanently close its physical office space in downtown Moscow on Friday.
The office is on the third floor of the Gritman Medical Center-owned Federal Building on Fifth Street.
The news gathering staff at the newspaper will continue to live and work on the Palouse, producing stories and images for the Daily News, which will continue to publish five days a week.
“Much has changed following the COVID-19 pandemic and the amount of walk-in traffic to the office has slowed to barely a trickle,” wrote Daily News Managing Editor Craig Clohessy in a column published Saturday in the Daily News. “Reporters also are in the field gathering stories and, often, writing them from their homes. This is true for newspapers all over the country.”
As is the case now, if you didn’t receive your paper, or if you have a complaint, call (208) 746-8742. Reporters will continue to have contact information at the bottom of their stories. Readers with story ideas, comments, questions or concerns can contact Clohessy at (208) 848-2251 or cclohessy@lmtribune.com.
Beginning next week, updated Daily News staff and contact information will appear on the “Contact Us” page of the newspaper website at dnews.com/site/contact.html and on the left rail of Page 2A in print.
