PULLMAN

A 21-year-old Washington State University student was arrested Friday after authorities allegedly seized $12,000 of cocaine at his residence in Pullman.

According to a statement released by the Whitman County Sheriff's Office, the Quad City Drug Task Force arrested Andrew P. Rega, originally from Federal Way, Wash., marking the end of a two month drug trafficking investigation.

During a search of Rega's residence and vehicle, detectives allegedly seized 7 ounces of cocaine, $2,000 of narcotic medications and $1,300 in cash.

He was booked into Whitman County Jail on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a legend drug. All are felony offenses.

Pullman Police Department and Whitman County Deputies assisted detectives during the service of the search warrant.
