Downtown Trick or Treat — 4-6 p.m. Downtown Moscow, Main Street. Family-friendly Halloween experience presented by Moscow Chamber of Commerce + Visitor Center.

Haunted Hog Halloween — 6-8 p.m. Happy Hog Meatery, 630 N. Almon #135, Moscow. Light refreshments and tours of the processing room of the Happy Hog Meatery (happyhogmeatery.com).

Mystery at the Museum — 7-9 p.m. Palouse Discovery Science Center, 950 NE Nelson Court, Pullman. Cost: $25. Guests 18 and older become detectives, using science, math and logic to unmask the culprit. Registration required. palousescience.net/mystery.

Tubaween — 7:30-8:30 p.m. Haddock Performance Hall, Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho, Moscow. A performance from University of Idaho tuba and euphonium studio. Musicians will be in costume.

Orchid Awards — 7 p.m., 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., in Moscow. The Moscow Historic Preservation Commission will present the Orchid Awards with the keynote from Professor Nels Reese. Free. Light refreshments.

Combating Climate Change — 7-9 p.m., via Zoom with link at lwvpullman.org. Pullman League of Women Voters will host members of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby to discuss local efforts to combat climate change.
