GRANGEVILLE — Evidence of a vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 95 at milepost 197 north of Riggins is believed to be that of a 73-year-old Lucile woman who has been missing since Wednesday morning.
The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Friday that several vehicle parts and a license plate located along the Salmon River were confirmed to belong to Marsha Hayes.
The sheriff’s office has terminated the search for her vehicle and will be focusing on recovery efforts from the river as conditions allow.
Hayes was reported missing after failing to return to her Lucile home Wednesday morning. She was last seen about 7 a.m. at the Riggins Blue Tick Coffee kiosk with her dog, an Australian shepherd named Maggie.
Hayes was driving a green 2006 Acura with Idaho license plates.
