Genesee School District has new resource officer thanks to grant

GENESEE — The Genesee School District received a grant to hire a school resource officer for the next three years.

According to the Latah County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Cody Brown began that role Thursday.

Genesee School District received a $1.5 million grant from the Idaho Department of Education, which is also funding 27 new SRO positions across the state.
