The water supply problem in Harvard appears to be resolved after crews determined rusty corrosion in pipes partially blocked water flow and prevented the water storage tank from filling adequately, said Latah County Disaster Services Coordinator Mike Neelon.
Latah County commissioners signed an emergency declaration Monday for the Hoodoo Water and Sewer District.
Neelon said residents were allowed to continue to use the water and that it was healthy to drink during the time of the issue, which primarily started Sunday.
Neelon said with the new pump and piping, he expects the tank to reach normal levels by this weekend.
He said the main water lines have great flow rates since the problem was identified and addressed Thursday.
