The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation recently awarded nearly $184,000 in small grants to 24 area organizations, according to a news release from the foundation.

Called fast-track grants, the grant is designed to be applied for and distributed quickly, to nonprofits which focus on health, wellness or disease prevention.

Among the April recipients for the grants were:

> LaCrosse Park & Recreation, Lacrosse, $8,955, for pump replacement at city

pool.

> Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens, Inc., Moscow, $5,000, for operating funds.

> Lacrosse Community Outreach, LaCrosse, $10,000, for community outreach.

> Friendly Senior Citizens of Troy, $6,000, for gas for helpers/cooks and supplies for

seniors and building rental.

> Juliaetta-Kendrick Good Samaritan Food Bank, Kendrick, $3,000..
