United Way of Moscow announces 2024 grant recipients
United Way of Moscow/Latah County has announced the 2024 Community Care Fund grant awardees.There were 12 grants awarded through the fund, which supports organizations that aid community collaboration. The funding for the grant comes from voluntary workplace payroll contributions, fundraising events and individual contributions.
The grant recipients are: Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse, Circles of Caring Adult Day Health Foundation, Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens, Inc., Inland Oasis, Latah Recovery Community Center, Moscow Mentor Program, Palouse Habitat for Humanity, Palouse Pathways, Second Judicial District CASA Program, Sojourners Alliance, The Idaho Foodbank and Willow Center for Grieving Children.
White Pine Chapter grant applications now open
The White Pine Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society has opened applications for projects which promote native plants to be completed in 2024 and applications are open until Feb. 1. The application can be found online at whitepineinps.org/WPgrant.html.
The grants are up to $1,000 and must be based in north central Idaho or parts of eastern Washington. Past projects have included restoration of degraded sites, incorporating native plants into landscaping, trail or educational signs, seed collection and research involving native plants.
