Rosalia Battle Days start June 2

The Rosalia Battle Days will start at 5 p.m. June 2 with Family Night at Rosalia Park and continue through June 3.

June 2 there will be live music from Just Plain Darin from Spokane and free hot dogs will be available from the Battle Days Association. The pool will be open for an evening swim.

June 3 there will be a fun run, two parades, vendor fair and more. The grand marshals for the parades Don and Judy Littleton. The Boy Scout troop will provide breakfast and lunch from the high school sophomores and at the Fire Hall, 607 S. Whitman Ave.

APOD performances of ‘Oliver!’ in June

APOD Productions will have productions of Lionel Bart’s “Oliver!” at 7 p.m. June 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17. Additional shows are scheduled for 2 p.m. on June 10, 11 and 17 and all shows will be at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St., Moscow. The show is directed by Todd Payne and is a part of a special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

The arrangement means all performance materials are supplied by Music Theatre International and the book, music and lyrics are written by Lionel Bart. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for children ages 6-12. For more information and to purchase tickets visit kenworthy.org.

Soil science presentation at the Moscow Library

The Moscow Public Library will have a presentation on soil health at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 110 S. Jefferson St., Moscow. The presentation will be given by USDA soil scientist Kian Speck. She will discuss how to tell if soil is healthy and hands-on demonstrations will be available. For more information, call the library at (208) 882-3925.
