Construction set for U.S. 95 bridge near Potlatch today
The Idaho Transportation Department will have construction crews working on the U.S. Highway 95 bridge over the Washington Idaho Railroad near Potlatch today. The crews will be grinding down the deck to make a smoother traveling surface and the project should be completed by the end of the day. One lane in each direction will be open to traffic and flaggers will be in place to assist traffic. Drivers should expect delays to be under 15 minutes. For more information visit 511.idaho.gov.
Moscow police captain graduates from FBI academy
Moscow Police Captain Anthony Dahlinger graduated from the FBI national academy Dec. 7 in Quantico, Va. The academy is a 10-week program for command officers to provide continuing education in leadership. Dahlinger earned graduate level credits through the University of Virginia in the program.
Dahlinger graduated from the University of Idaho in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in crime and justice studies and a minor in sociology. He has also completed 1,467 hours of additional law enforcement training. Dahlinger started his career as a detention deputy for the Latah County Sheriff’s Office and was hired by the Moscow Police Department in 2011. He is also on the Latah County Recovery Center board of directors and is the assistant coach of the Washington State University men’s rugby football club.
