Megan Marshall, a Moscow private practice attorney, will serve as the next Latah County Magistrate Judge, according to an Idaho Second Judicial District Court news release.

The Second District Magistrate Commission selected Marshall after conducting interviews Wednesday for the judge position.

The vacancy was created when Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter appointed Judge John Judge to the Latah County 2nd District Court bench in September. The district court position had been vacant since Otter appointed Judge John Stegner to the Idaho Supreme Court in May to replace retiring Justice Warren Jones.
