A Mexican man was arrested after being accused of molesting a teenage boy in Pullman on Friday evening.
Officers believe 33-year-old Juan Trejo Perez is responsible for allegedly molesting a 16-year-old boy.
Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse informed Pullman police of a molestation that had occurred earlier in the week. The organization also told officers that the suspect was at the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport looking to fly to Mexico, according to court records.
Officers found and arrested Trejo Perez for alleged felony third-degree child molestation.
Trejo Perez had been visiting Pullman for the last couple of weeks and had been staying at the alleged victim’s residence, according to court records. He, his wife and children live in Mexico.
The victim told police that Trejo Perez had reportedly been inquiring about his genitals and love life. He had also allegedly touched the victim below the belt, according to court records.
One evening during his stay, Trejo Perez reportedly asked the victim for a massage. Trejo Perez wanted to show the victim how to properly do it and allegedly began to massage him, according to records.
Trejo Perez reportedly massaged the victim’s buttocks and allegedly touched him with his genitals, according to court records.
Officers questioned Trejo Perez, who originally said he didn’t massage the victim, but later admitted to doing it, according to court records.
Trejo Perez appeared in Whitman County Superior Court Monday afternoon. Court Commissioner Doug Robinson placed Trejo Perez on a $50,000 bond.
If Trejo Perez posts bond and is released from jail, he has been ordered not to leave Whitman or Latah counties.
