The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation has awarded $161,500 to 19 organizations, which submitted applications in March.
The fast-track grants support efforts to prevent disease and improve health in north central Idaho, southeastern Washington and Wallowa County, Oregon.
It was established in 2017 by then-Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden as part of the sale of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center by Ascension Health, a not-for-profit organization, to RCCH Healthcare Partners, a for-profit business.
The foundation is still accepting applications for its fast-track grants for the amount of $2,500 to $10,000 through May 31 at lewisclarkhealth.org.
A list of the recent grant recipients, the purpose for their grants and the amount of the grants is as follows:
Public Health – North Idaho Central District, Lewiston, oral health equipment upgrade — $10,000.
Lili GC Foundation, Lewiston, nutritional services — $10,000.
Red Door/First Christian Church Clarkston, operating expenses — $10,000.
Moscow Central Lions Club Foundation, Moscow, vision and hearing assistance — $6,500.
Walla Walla Senior Center, senior nutrition program in Asotin County — $10,000.
Moscow Area Moms Alliance, Moscow, family mentorship and care packages for newborns — $10,000.
Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation, Enterprise, MRI challenge — $10,000.
City of Troy, Idaho, summer youth program — $7,500.
Lowell Quick Response Unit, Kooskia, emergency quick response AEDs and emergency medical technician emergency jump kits — $7,500.
Rosalia Volunteer Firefighters Association, Rosalia, obstetric training mannequin and anatomy skeleton — $5,000.
Pine Creek community long-term restoration, Rosalia, community health and safety — $4,000.
Idaho Resilience Project, H.O.P.E. Week community activation in north central Idaho — $10,000.
Inland Oasis, Moscow, on-site container garden — $5,000.
The Council on Aging & Human Services/COAST Transportation, Colfax, repairs and maintenance — $6,000.
Joseph Branch Trail Consortium, Enterprise, capacity building to grow outreach and development of Americans with Disabilities Act compliant trail — $10,000.
Tahoe Quick Response Unit, Kooskia — $10,000.
Gina Quesenberry Foundation, travel assistance program — $10,000.
