Moscow mural vandalism suspect arrested

A male who is suspected of vandalizing the mural on the Moscow Water Building was arrested Friday for allegedly resisting arrest.

Police responded to a report Friday that Kent Salisbury, 45, was acting violently at the Latah Recovery Center, according to the police report.

Salisbury allegedly took off on his bike and rode through downtown Moscow to evade police. He was also cited last month for two misdemeanor counts of malicious injury to property. Keith Scholl, Latah County deputy prosecutor, said the city of Moscow asked for felony charges instead.

Salisbury is scheduled for an arraignment hearing Wednesday.
