The Mountain View School District was narrowly failing to pass its levy Tuesday night, with 53% voting against the funding measure, but only 85% of precincts were reported as of press time.
Votes were at 1,491 against the levy and 1,318 in favor for the $2.9 million, two-year levy. The levy would cost $182.16 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value and funds staffing, academic and extra-curricular activities and supports the Clearwater Valley High School, Elk City School and elementary libraries.
