Moscow-Pullman Daily News

PULLMAN — It has been a week since 2-year-old Seraya Aung Harmon was reported missing.

The Pullman Police Department confirmed Monday the Palouse toddler and her father are still unaccounted for. Operations Commander Aaron Breshears said law enforcement is searching but has not located the two.

Pullman police is working in coordination with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Breshears said, and is heavily relying on its resources to reveal their whereabouts.

Seraya was last seen May 29 with her father, 21-year-old Aaron Aung of Moscow. She was expected to be returned to her mother in Pullman on June 3, but never appeared, according to a news release Friday by the department.

Investigators initially believed Aaron Aung and Seraya had been traveling to Montana. But it was later determined they likely drove to Mexico in a black 2014 Cadillac XTS with an Idaho license plate 1L5147U, according to the news release.

Pullman police issued a warrant for Aaron Aung’s arrest last Wednesday for supposed first-degree custodial interference. He has black hair and brown eyes, is 5-foot-9 and weighs approximately 135 pounds, according to the news release.

Aung could possibly be traveling with a former Pullman resident, 21-year-old Nadia Cole, who was reported missing to the Port of Seattle Police Department on May 29. According to the news release, she was last seen leaving the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

A GoFundMe has been created for Seraya, with all proceeds going directly toward getting her home and ensuring her safety. The fundraiser has raised over $500 as of Monday.
