Power outage

Avista Utilities linemen made temporary repairs to stabilize a burned and broken power pole at the intersection of Sixth and Polk Streets after the pole caught fire. Power was lost for a few hours in much of eastern and southern Moscow on Friday. Avista Utilities linemen attached temporary jumps between power lines after a nearby power pole caught fire. Dust that had accumulated on the equipment mixed with precipitation and caused the fire, according to officials.
