The Pullman woman driving a Ford Escape was critically injured and died at the scene. The Ohio man driving a Volvo tractor trailer was critically injured during the collision, according to the news release.

The drivers were the sole occupants of the vehicles.

An Idaho State Police dispatcher said the semitruck had caught fire during the incident, which melted the trailer.
