A vigil to remember the four University of Idaho students who were murdered last November is scheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 13 on the UI administration lawn, the school announced Thursday.
The vigil is being planned for UI students, led by representatives of three Greek chapters, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Chi and Alpha Phi.
The vigil is open to all and will feature speakers from the three Greek chapters, as well as student body President Tanner McClain.
Those associated with UI are also encouraged to turn on their porch lights from 6-7 p.m. PST Nov. 13 as a sign of solidarity, according to a UI news release.
“It is important that the students lead this effort toward healing,” McLain in the news release. “We want to ensure we continue to tell their stories, to honor their legacy and to provide a place where each student can heal. Together we are moving forward.”
Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves were murdered Nov. 13, 2022, at a house on King Road in Moscow.
