The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community for help identifying a person accused of burglarizing the Alpine Animal Hospital last weekend.
Deputies responded to a possible burglary at the animal hospital in the early morning hours on Sunday. Undersheriff Chris Chapman said cash and a safe filled with money and medicine for animals was reported stolen.
The agency was unable to provide the exact monetary amount of what was taken, as the investigation is still ongoing.
After reviewing video surveillance, deputies noted a person wearing a black mask and pants, a khaki jacket and a pink Cheney Rodeo hat conducting the burglary.
