Washington State’s Daiyan Henley accepted an invite to the NFL scouting combine, the senior linebacker announced on social media. The invitation-only event brings about 300 of the top football prospects in the nation to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for a week of drills and a chance to improve their NFL draft stock. ESPN ranks Henley as the No. 91 overall prospect and No. 5 inside linebacker in this year’s draft. The Latah County Courthouse was buzzing with activity Wednesday as local and national media awaited the arrival of the suspect arrested in connection to the deaths of four University of Idaho students. Reporters and spectators set up camp on sidewalks surrounding the building, hoping to get a glimpse of Bryan Kohberger, who made the long flight from eastern Pennsylvania to the Palouse to be booked into the Latah County Jail. He is suspected of murdering Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin on Nov. 13 at their King Road residence in Moscow.

The tomato spotted wilt virus is spread from plant to plant by thrips, tiny black-winged insects that feed on numerous plants including tomatoes, beans and potatoes. ... Outgoing Moscow Mayor Nancy Chaney gave her final Renewing Our Focus presentation Monday night to a good-sized audience. After delivering thank yous to an array of people — council members, city employees and residents — Chaney devoted some time to remembering the late Moscow Councilor John Dickinson. She showed a video of him leading the other council members and the audience in a sing-along of the first portion of “America the Beautiful.”
