Foley Speaker Series — Noon, Foley Speakers Room, Bryan Hall, WSU, Pullman. Brian Henning of Gonzaga University will discuss people’s relationship with the planet in the face of climate change.

National Report on Climate Progress — 5:30-7 p.m. Fiske Room, 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow. Citizens’ Climate Palouse Chapter will give a report and discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.

All About Apples — 5:30-7 p.m. The Center, Colfax Library, 102 S. Main St., Colfax. Kaitlyn Thornton, a student at WSU will talk about her family’s apple orchard in Tonasket, Wash., and the growing process and benefit of apples in Washington.

Outdoor Equipment Swap and Sale — 6 p.m. Student Recreation Center, 1000 Paradise Creek St., Moscow. Admission is $5 until 6:30 p.m., $1 from 6:30-7 p.m. and free after 7 p.m.

“Pocket Prairies” — 7 p.m. Lecompte Auditorium, 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow. Executive director of the Phoenix Conservancy Chris Duke will give a presentation on pocket prairies for native plants.

Saturday

Barn Dance — 7-9 p.m., Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, 419 N. Parkway, Uniontown. Tickets available at the door. Food and drink available for purchase. Performance from AMSS, which plays a mix of folk, pop and country rock from the ’60s and ’70s.
