GENESEE — The 19th annual Genesee Community Yard Sale returns from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday throughout town.

Maps and descriptions of the over 40 yard sales for out-of-town visitors will be available starting at 7:30 a.m. at Pacific NW Farmers Coop, 117 W. Chestnut, in Genesee. The maps can be picked up in drive-through style.

There will be three country yard sales and three sales located in the city park in addition to the 40 located throughout town, said Mary Bielenberg, treasurer of the Genesee Civic Association. Items for sale include fishing, camping and hunting gear, clothing, antiques and tools.

During the yard sales, Hailee Zollman will have her third annual Charitable Lemonade Stand to fight giant congenital melanocytic nevus, a condition that causes large moles on the skin and an increased risk of developing melanoma. Lemonade and baked goods will be available.

The stand is located at 356 E. Valleyview Ave. in Genesee and signs will be posted to direct visitors. Zollman organizes the lemonade stand for her friend Keasy Line of Viola, who was diagnosed with the condition at birth.

She first held the lemonade stand in 2021 and all money raised is donated to Dr. Miguel Reyes at the Gavin Bailey Tissue Repository at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. The lemonade is by donation, said Jackie Zollman, Hailee’s mom. Over the last two years the stand has raised over $3,000, Jackie Zollman said.
