Wildfire resiliency funding, advice available for homeowners
The Palouse Conservation District was awarded funding from the Washington State Conservation Commission to give technical and financial assistance to homeowners looking into wildfire resiliency. Homeowners can fill out a request for assistance form available online at palousecd.org. The deadline is Feb. 29.
Priority status will be given to homeowners in urban-wildland interfaces and rural communities within the Palouse Conservation District boundaries. All interested homeowners in Whitman county can apply and for more information call (509) 553-1858. Those selected will be given advice for conducting risk assessment and fuel reduction.
