Little to visit Moscow elementary school today
Idaho Gov. Brad Little is scheduled to visit Russell Elementary School in Moscow today.
Little will discuss his 2024 legislative priorities during a 1 p.m. news conference and take a tour of the school building if time allows. The news conference is not open to the public.
Little also is scheduled for a similar news conference at 10:30 a.m. today at Lakeland High School in Rathdrum.
Bank Left Bistro to have dinner/movie event
Dinner and a Movie is scheduled from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bank Left Bistro, 100 S. Bridge St., Palouse. Dinner will be a Greek baked feta with chicken and pasta, a bread and oil appetizer and Italian white chocolate champagne panna cotta. Gluten free options are available. The film is a 50-minute noir made by Palouse artist and student filmmaker Levi Teare.
The Bank Left Bistro also will have a Valentine’s day dinner from 6-8:30 p.m. Feb. 14. More information is available online at bankleftgallery.com.
Renaissance fair opens craft, food application period
The Moscow Renaissance Fair has opened applications for food and craft booths at moscowrenfair.org. The deadline to apply is April 1. The Renaissance Fair is scheduled for May 4-5 at East City Park.
All crafts must be handmade and no commercially-made products are allowed. Craft vendors will be selected through a jury. There is a $25 application fee for first-time applicants. A 10-foot by 10-foot space is $200 and a 10x20 space is $400.
For the 2024 fair, food vendors will include commercial kitchens as well as nonprofit organizations. No generators will be allowed. Food booths cost $135 for a 10-foot public frontage, $270 for a 20-foot frontage and $405 for a 30-foot frontage. There is a $50 refundable cleanup deposit.
UI chamber music concert set for Thursday
The Jupiter String Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the University of Idaho Administration Auditorium in Moscow. Tickets cost $25 for the general public, $20 for seniors and $10 for UI students. Children 12 and younger are free. Tickets can be purchased online at uitickets.com.
The quartet will perform music from the late 18th century to the present. The quartet is composed of violinists Nelson Lee and Meg Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel and cellist Daniel McDonough. For more information visit uidaho.edu/class/acms.
