Man pleads not guilty to vehicular manslaughter

A 30-year-old man pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter Monday in Latah County District Court in a case related to a September utility terrain vehicle crash near Deary.

The passenger, Nolan B. Meece, 27, of Bovill, died from blunt force trauma suffered in the Sept. 25 crash. According to the Idaho State Police, the wreck was reported at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Forks Road.

The driver, Tyler Beyer, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
