Moscow Contemporary received an $8,000 grant from The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation to support its new program helping people with Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
Moscow Contemporary, which is located at the Palouse Mall, is running a weekly dance class called Dance for Parkinson’s.
The program is available to anyone, but is designed for those with Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis who want to increase their mobility and improve their balance. The classes run from 10:30 a.m. to noon every Tuesday at Moscow Contemporary.
There is a $10 optional donation per class. Caregivers can join at no extra cost. Each session is accompanied by live local musicians responsive to the needs of the group.
People can register for the classes at moscowcontemporary.org.
