Three motorbikes were stolen in span of a week, officials say

PULLMAN — The Pullman Police Department is investigating a string of motorcycle thefts that occurred in the span of a week.

Operations Commander Aaron Breshears said individuals attempted to steal three motorbikes in late May and early June. Two have been recovered but one is still missing.

The agency stated in its police logs a motorcycle on northeast Providence Court was taken in the afternoon of May 28. Breshears said police are still trying to locate the 2019 KTM Duke 390 bike.

Two other incidents were reported at the ApartmentLand complexes on Merman Drive the morning of June 1, according to the police logs.

Breshears said two motorcycles were stolen but have since been recovered. He added the bikes were equipped with anti-theft devices that made them difficult to move, and one was damaged in the process.

After reviewing video surveillance, Breshears said the department believes an older man driving a Jeep Rubicon is responsible for the June 1 thefts.

The agency described the man in a Facebook post Tuesday to be white and over 35 years old, with a bald or shaved head and clean-shaven face. The white Jeep has aftermarket wheels, a black hood scoop, a drop-hitch and a spare tire mounted on the back.

Any information related to these incidents can be reported to the Pullman Police Department by calling (509)334-0802.
